Postdoctoral Positions in Structural Biology

Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Yong Xiong in Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. Our lab studies the structural principles of innate immune responses to viral infections, and mechanisms of fatty acid synthesis by the 2.6 megadalton yeast fatty acid synthase. The structural information obtained will be used to design anti-viral and antimicrobial compounds. For more information, please visit:

The positions will be fully funded by Yale University in accordance with NIH guidelines. We are looking for candidates who wish to work on challenging structural biology problems and have a strong background in molecular biology and protein biochemistry. Experience in eukaryotic expression systems would be a plus.

Our lab is at the Center for Structural Biology at Yale, which has a long tradition of research excellence and a stimulating environment that includes world-renowned groups as well as young investigators. The center has state-of-the-art equipment such as crystallization robots, microfocus X-ray generators, and high-speed computing.
