QUICK GUIDE TO THE XDL_VIEW VIEW OBJECTS

Glossary: Point to ... Move mouse till pointer/cursor points to ...
Click button Press and release a (mouse) button
Button1 Mouse button 1, normally left hand button
Button2 Mouse button 2, normally middle button
Button3 Mouse button 3, normally right hand button
Paste Copy text which has been selected on another
window (see I/O window for an example).
THE PANEL ITEMS
Panel item Required action Sequence required
Panel choice Select an option Point to panel item;
Hold down Button3;
Point to required option;
Release Button3;

Click Button3;

Select default option Point to panel item;

Move slider grip using the mouse;

Command recall Press up or down arrow (cursor)
keys.
Pageing Use panel button 'Up' or panel

Select text Point to start character;
Hold down Button1;
Drag to end character;
Release Button1.
Graphics Window Cursor input Point to required window;

Postscript output Press panel button 'PS';
Reply to questions in I/O item.
Pop-up Notice Continue Point to a notice button;
