[Logo for PHENIX]

PHENIX is a new system being developed for automated X-ray crystal structure determination. It will be able to proceed from reduced intensity data to a refined molecular model. The goal is to automate structure solution and completion even at medium to low resolution. PHENIX is being written using the Python scripting language and C++, and will have an open flexible architecture that can be easily used by other software developers.

Much of the current functionality of PHENIX derives from tying together SOLVE and Phaser, which are available separately in the Core.

To use PHENIX in the Core on a Linux workstation, type

setup phenix

Please note that PHENIX is still under development. It could engage in buggy behavior. Use at your own risk.

For more information, consult the PHENIX website.
