PDBHEADER(1)
NAME
- pdbheader - extract header records from PDB files
SYNOPSIS
- pdbheader [-o directory] pdb_file...
DESCRIPTION
Pdbheader reads a Protein Data Bank file and writes to
standard output only those records considered to be file
``header'' information. The following PDB records are
considered header information: HEADER, COMPND, AUTHOR,
SOURCE, REVDAT, REMARK, JRNL, FTNOTE, FORMUL, EXPDTA, HELIX,
SHEET and TURN. If the -o flag is given, the following
argument is assumed to be a directory and a file of the same
name as the input file is created in this directory to
contain the header information. Thus to create headers for
all of the PDB files, one could do
pdbheader -o /mol/pdb/headers /mol/pdb/rel/[0-9]*
