SPOCK Electron Density Example

The following series of steps will create an image similar to that shown in the example.

• GUI indicates a menu pull down.
  
• CMD indicates a command you type into the command window.

GUI -file - read - pdb file
GUI - file - read - xplor map
GUI - graphics - center on selection or coords
GUI - alter - density maps - density contour 1 - color(3) and size(10)
GUI - alter - density maps - wide lines
GUI - alter - bonds - cylinders primary
GUI - alter - bonds - radius entry - 0.15
GUI - alter - atoms - solid spheres
CMD - set radius = 0.3 [sets all atoms to 0.3 Ang. radius]
CMD - ac=71,a=c [sets C atoms dark grey]
CMD - bc=1 [sets bonds white]
GUI - Macros - Beautify
GUI - File - Save - Image file
