The spock manual is divided into several sections. For those users who wish to get started quickly, here's a description of the sections.

Spock's command language is described in §5. This section describes how to use the command line to specify actions (such as coloring bonds or rotating the molecule), and optionally to limit those commands to subsets of atoms, surfaces, or other objects.

A detailed description of the menu hierarchy is given in §6. This section describes each menu entry and indicates what it does.

Finally, a quick reference guide may be found in Appendix D.

These sections should be enough to get up and running.
