For mere mortals (non-root users)

You needn't be root to install and use spock, although that is the suggested method of installation. Non-root users should be sure that $SPOCK is set as the path to the spock system directory, e.g. setenv SPOCK $HOME/spock/system. You may wish to add this command to your .cshrc file.
