A set of simple molecular graphic images have been saved in /eve/www/csb_home/userguides/image/moviemaker/movie/

Copy the *.rgb files from this directory to your directory.

Then to make a movie from the images, type:

makemovie -f sgi -r 3 -o newmovie.mv pic1.rgb pic2.rgb pic3.rgb pic4.rgb pic5.rgb pic6.rgb pic7.rgb pic8.rgb pic9.rgb pic10.rgb

Where:

-f is the output format (sgi or qt)

-r is the frames per second playback rate

newmovie.mv is the name of the output file

To launch the moviemaker, type:

limit stacksize 65536
moviemaker &

Under the file menu click on Open
Since the output file was in the sgi format, you can import it in a 'read only' mode, or ask the program to do a realtime convert to quicktime.
Use the pull-down menus to run the movie clip.
