Permanent Filesystems
At this writing, we are in transition between our old filesystems and new
filesystems. The new filesystems will provide greater capacity, speed and
reliability, unless the fates are unkind. Our policies and practices apply
to both old and new. Where the letter of the policies has not kept up with
changes in the actual filesystems, the spirit should be followed.
