Oki 7400 Color Laser Printer

This laser printer is available to all the UNIX workstations and the PC and Mac computers in the CSB Core. The maximum output is 1200dpi. Any laser printer paper can be used in this printer

For transparencies you must use either 3M CG3720 or Folex BG67, or OKI Premium Color Transparencies. If these types are not available, DO NOT print transparencies in this printer.

You can order the correct ransparanceis from Okidata. Click on Media. Make sure to order the OKI Premium color transparency for $45.99/box, not the cheap stuff for $10.99.

Load the correct transparencies from the Multi-Purpose tray (aka Manual feed) and choose transparency from the driver (see below).

When printing, only send your job ONCE since the printer needs to warm up to print the 1st page. After that, pirinting should be faster.

The file you wish to print MUST be in ACSII Postscript format! If you send a binary image file, you will get garbage on a full ream of paper. For SGI RGB image files, open the file in GIMP and print it directly.
